Hi! Well were eating very rural MN food up here. Yesterday we had burgers for lunch and pizza for dinner. Today is burgers again but I managed to find some salad someone left behind from Thanksgiving. The two salad dressings have so much fat per teaspoon in going to pass and eat it plain. Theres enough fat in the burgers. No beans or lentils here.

Hello Adrienne!! No worries the holidays are always a bit tricky. Love to see you managed to find some greens in there Its great to see you being mindful of the fat content in your meals especially when the options are limited.

Instructions

  • 1.

In a large bowl, combine the lean ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

  • 2.

Form the beef mixture into 4 equal patties.

  • 3.

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.

  • 4.

While the burgers are cooking, prepare the salad by combining chopped lettuce, diced tomatoes, and onions in a large bowl.

Once the burgers are cooked, serve them on whole wheat buns or on top of the salad. Enjoy your meal!
